David Ball

Ministry Heart and Vision 

David Ball serves as an Elder and Board Member at Calvary Chapel of the Springs. Having attended the church for about three years and served in his leadership role for over a year, David assists with church direction, oversight, and teaching on occasion. His overarching heart for ministry is to see every member of the congregation grow in the Lord and flourish in the specific ministry God has called them to fulfill. Rather than anchoring his leadership to a single verse, his ministry is guided by a commitment to knowing God's Word and making Him known.

Background and Experience

Although David grew up attending church and was familiar with Bible stories and key scripture verses, he did not come to know Jesus personally until his sophomore year in college. After searching for happiness and fulfillment in drugs and alcohol and finding no meaning, he reached the end of himself and surrendered his life to Christ—discovering a personal relationship that brought true purpose.

Later in life, David spent 20 years serving as a senior pastor in Germany. Following God's call back to the United States, he and his family joined Calvary Chapel in San Marcos, where he was subsequently asked to step into leadership.

David holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from Pepperdine University.

Family and Personal Life

David and his wife, Peggy, have been married for 30 years and are parents to two adult children. A fun fact about David that most people might not know is that he was born in Africa and began his schooling in Japan.
