David Morganstern

Ministry Heart and Vision 

David Morgenstern has attended Calvary Chapel of the Springs for about 20 years and serves as the Safety Team Lead. Roughly ten years ago, David founded the church's safety ministry from the ground up after sensing the Lord calling him to serve as a protector at the church doors. His ministry focuses on organizing, scheduling, and equipping team members to safeguard the congregation and church leadership during all events and services. David's leadership is guided by 1 Corinthians 16:13–14 and Luke 22:36, seeing his role as a watchman called to stand on the wall and protect the flock.

Background and Experience

David came to faith after during a difficult season in life. David and his wife sought the Lord, who answered their cries and embraced them.

When an incident at the church highlighted the need for dedicated security, David stepped forward with a heart of "here I am Lord" to build the safety team. David holds a 2-year degree and brings relevant background qualifications to his leadership role, including holding a License to Carry (LTC), serving as an NRA instructor, and undertaking extensive ongoing training in martial arts and firearms.

Family and Personal Life

David and his wife, Viola, have been married for 26 years. Outside of his ministry duties, David enjoys teaching shooting skills and survival techniques. He also has a heart for global outreach and has continually supported an orphanage in Pakistan for many years.
